British Toilet Association : 2004 World Toilet Summit
A delegation from the BTA, headed by our Chairman, Sir William Lawrence, attended the 2004 World Toilet Summit, held in Beijing in November.
The main purpose of the visit was to take over the organiser’s role for the 2005 World Toilet Summit being held in Belfast this September.
BTA Founder and Director, Richard Chisnell, also presented a paper explaining the development of the Association, together with the growth of the annual Loo of the Year Awards.
The 300+ delegates were treated to five star hospitality, which included a tour of some of the tourism toilets now available to visitors in Beijing.
The Chinese authorities are spending over £20 million creating 3500 five star tourism toilets before the 2008 Olympics!
Has anyone heard what toilet provision is being planned for London should Britain win the 2012 Olympic bid?
